I am Dive is coming back with new music in 2023. «Fear Of Missing Out» is the new album and is now ready for master.

‘The Fog’ will be the first advance from ‘Kriegszeit’ and will be available everywhere in May 23, 2019. A week after the single is out, we will start the tour in Madrid, these are just the first dates confirmed and a bunch more will be added soon.
I am Dive to publish new music and soon to announce forthcoming tour in Spain.
Their latest release, Mauve (October, 2018) was the first of a series of records that I am Dive will be releasing every few months, a way to explore and cultivate their creative flow away from the restrictions of the physical format that will continue in May, 2019 with Kriegszeit.
«Silent Running» (Douglas Trumbull, 1972) is a movie that takes place in a not-so-distant future, at a time when all plant and wild life on Earth have been decimated. Some have been preserved and are currently in space, in a fleet of orbiting greenhouses. Freeman Lowell (Bruce Dern) is the main character, one of four space forest rangers aboard the Valley Forge, one of the 2,000 metre-long green house freighters. He is passionately dedicated to preserving the orbiting forests and their natural inhabitants, and eventual returning them to Earth for reforestation of his now-barren planet… more so than his crewmates, whose main priority seems to be returning to Earth after their one-year deployment to space.
The conflict comes when Lowell and his crew are ordered to destroy the orbiting greenhouses and redeploy the freighters to commercial service. Lowell decides to disobey orders and save the forests he has worked so hard to preserve.
«Music For Silent Running» is the result of a live soundtrack project I am Dive embarked in 2015, when Jaume I University and Born! Music (Castellón, Spain) invited them to play at Cinemascore Festival, an event where some selected bands are invited to play imaginary soundtracks to some selected movies. «Music For Silent Running» is the original imaginary score they came up with.

I am Dive will play at Debaser Strand, in Stockholm, Sweden their last show of the year, before heading back to the recordings of their two upcoming records. The event, scheduled for December 2nd, is called Independent Music Hub, promoted by UFI and will count with the Swedish band Vita Bergen and the Catalonian Núria Graham to complete de line up. I am Dive are José A. Pérez and Esteban Ruiz. After years in other bands they got toegther and started I am Dive in late 2010 and, almost inmediately, released their first songs, Fall Ep. Since then, the band have performed over two hundred and fifty shows, counting tours in The US, The Uk, China, Canada and Japan among them, and concerts in Spain, France, Iceland, Korea, Sweden or Ukraine, just to mention a few.
I am Dive released ‘Kriegszeit’, their twelfth album, in June, 2019. This was the second release in a series of short records that started back in October with Mauve. New music landscapes, where more powerful programmings and sharper guitars push a new way of writing songs for the band, once found impossible to avoid writing some less personal, more social lyrics and just faced the times we live in.
I am Dive found the way to deliver a solid, powerful and personal “musical perfectionism”, in words of Tomás Fernando Flores, (Director of Spain National Radio – Radio3). A sound than can hardly be compared to any band you have recently heard. You can find hints that lead you to Boards Of Canada, The Album Leaf or Sigur Rós, tangled in sober, deep melodies that take you to grounds where Mark Kozelek, Neil Young, José González or Father John Misty would feel cozy on. Every influence you find, opens the path to its perfect complementary opposite, something that can only happen when a band find their very own sound.

I am Dive son José A. Pérez y Esteban Ruiz. Tras años en otros proyectos, forman I am Dive a finales de 2010 y casi inmediatamente publican su primer trabajo, Fall Ep. Desde entonces, el grupo ha hecho más de doscientos cincuenta conciertos, tanto en salas como festivales, de Estados Unidos, Ucrania, China, Japón y Corea, Canadá, Islandia, Inglaterra, Francia y, claro, España.
I am Dive publicó «Kriegszeit» el pasado 20 de junio, un álbum que sigue la serie de discos cortos que iniciasen con Mauve en octubre de 2018. Nuevos paisajes musicales en los que una electrónica más poderosa y unas guitarras más afiladas arropan una nueva forma de hacer canciones para el grupo, en la que era imposible evitar hablar de temas menos personales, más sociales y de los tiempos que nos ha tocado vivir.
El grupo ha encontrado la forma de manufacturar un sonido sólido, poderoso y personal; “puntillismo musical” según Tomás Fernando Flores, Director de Radio3. Un sonido que difícilmente puede compararse con ninguna banda que hayas escuchado recientemente. Pueden reconocerse rastros de Boards Of Canada, The Album Leaf o Sigur Rós enredados en melodías sobrias y profundas que te llevan a espacios transitados por otros, como Mark Kozelek o Neil Young, Jose Gonzalez o Father John Misty. Cada influencia que encuentras te lleva a su perfecta opuesta y complementaria, algo que sólo pasa cuano un grupo encuentra su propio sonido.
